Getting started

Create your account

One email and password, or sign in with Google, at app.mobileb.net. This login guards every number you link.

Link a number

On your phone: WhatsApp, Settings, Linked devices, Link a device, and scan the code MobileB shows. No camera to hand? Choose "Link with phone number", enter the number, and type the pairing code WhatsApp shows into your phone. QR is the reliable path; WhatsApp does not always offer a pairing code. History syncs in the background, in passes, for the first half hour.

Add the rest

Repeat for every number you work with: work, personal, support, sales. Up to 10 during the beta. Each stays connected until you unlink it in Settings or log MobileB out from your phone's Linked devices.

The unified inbox

Tap the account switcher to pick one number, several, or all of them. The app calls the merged view 1nbox: every conversation from every number in a single list, each row tagged with its account color and name.

• Rows carry the account ring, the unread badge and the business tag.
• Tap a row in the switcher to see that number alone; tap its ring to add or remove it from the set. The choice syncs across your devices.
• Opening a conversation keeps the unified view, and a reply leaves from the right number.
• Pull down at the top of the list for Archived.

Messaging

Text, replies, reactions, voice notes, photos, video and documents, with delivery ticks moving from clock to blue. The attach menu also sends a location or a contact card. Formatting, mentions and forwards render as WhatsApp intends.

• Swipe to reply on touch, hover on desktop; long-press for reactions.
• Star messages and find them under Settings; forward, copy or delete from the same menu. Edit and retract your own messages.
• Photos are stripped of EXIF and GPS data before sending.
• Attach, then Location, sends where you are, or a place you search for. The search runs on our managed servers, never handing a geocoder your address.
• Attach, then Contact, picks from that number's contacts and sends a proper card.
• Tap the clock next to Send to schedule a message; pending sends sit at the bottom of that conversation with their departure time, where you can reschedule, send now or cancel them, and they leave with the app closed.
• Groups and channels you follow appear as conversations. Creating or administering groups, posting status, and calls stay on the phone.

The record

Where your plan includes message history, what others delete or edit stays on your copy, labeled. When you need to catch up quietly, pause receipts for that conversation.

• Deleted incoming messages stay readable, labeled with a trash mark.
• Edited messages keep their history, word for word.
• Long-press a conversation and choose Pause read receipts: read freely, no blue ticks, and the row shows an eye-off mark until you resume.
• Messages sent from the phone, outside MobileB, land in the record too. WhatsApp normally withholds view-once payloads from linked devices; MobileB records and labels the marker, and retains the payload only when WhatsApp actually delivers it. Disappearing messages are kept as ordinary messages.

Files

The Files tab collects every photo, video and document across all your numbers and every conversation shared to you, so nothing lives only at the bottom of a chat.

• Media view for photos and video, Docs view for documents.
• Filter by kind, number, direction and date; search names and captions; open the source conversation from any file.
• Documents show type and size before you download.

Contacts and tags

Contacts sync from every number with photos and names resolved. Rename anyone privately, and tag conversations and contacts as business, family, friends, or any label you invent.

• Private names stay on your side: the contact never sees them. Optionally import names from your device's contact picker or a vCard file; MobileB never reads the address book on its own.
• The business tag surfaces work relationships everywhere.
• Tags scope sharing and AI agents: they are the boundary, not just a label. Agents can read tags but never set them.

Sharing

Open Chat info and share a conversation to a colleague by email, or share a category, a number or everything from Settings. They read it inside their own MobileB, view only or with the right to reply on your behalf, until the share expires or either side ends it.

• Invites go by email to an existing MobileB account; pending invites are listed until accepted or declined.
• Expiry of 7 days, 30 days or none; change or stop sharing any time from either side.
• The Shared tab holds invitations, shared conversations and each grant's terms. Under You shared, open a share and tap History for every invitation, acceptance, reply and permission change.
• Replies on your behalf read "X on behalf of Y" on both sides.

AI agents

Connect Claude or ChatGPT with one URL, or create a personal token for your own agent and point it at https://app.mobileb.net/mcp. A consent screen fixes the scope before anything connects.

• Scope by number and by category; read only or read and send; set an expiry.
• 42 tools cover reading, searching, images, voice notes, video frames, sending, scheduling and organizing. The tool reference lists each one.
• Tap an agent under Settings, AI agents, to see what it did: a summary, an activity chart and every request for the last 90 days. Revoke there; the next call is refused.
• Setup for each client: Connect an agent.

Advanced security

In a conversation with another MobileB user, open Chat info and enable advanced security. Once both of you accept, messages and files in that conversation are sealed on your two devices.

• The header shows a closed lock and "Advanced security on", with a quiet Verify row in the sheet until you compare safety numbers in person or on a call you trust.
• Files travel sealed, with their names inside the envelope. Up to 16 MiB per file.
• Set an erase-after-reading timer per conversation. Each side chooses its own.
• Keys live in a vault on your device behind Face ID, Touch ID, a security key or a passphrase. What it protects, and what it does not.

Devices and settings

Sign in anywhere: laptop, desktop, tablet, phone. Every screen stays in step in real time, and to WhatsApp it all counts as one linked device per number.

• Install as an app: Add to Home Screen on iPhone, one-click install on Android and desktop.
• Notifications name the number a message arrived on; mute per conversation or per number.
• Light and dark themes, per-number wallpapers; edit each number's profile photo, name and About from Settings. Preferences sync across devices and can be exported and imported as a file.
• Maintenance: Check for updates applies a new build at once; Clear cached data wipes every cache on the device and restarts clean without signing out.
• Unlink any number with the two-step flow, or log MobileB out from WhatsApp's Linked devices on your phone.
